XLRI XAT 2025 is one of the largest MBA entrance exams. It is expected to be held on Sunday January 5, 2025 in a single slot. XAT Exam Time Duration is of three hour thirty minutes duration.

The XAT 2025 exam will conducted on January 5, 2025. XLRI will release the registration schedule in July 2024. The XAT application window 2025 will be open for about three months. Candidates will be required to register for XAT 2025 at xatonline.in website.

The 2025 XAT exam is just the beginning of your journey. It will be followed by the GD/PI round, through which the score-accepting colleges will select candidates for admission. XLRI will conduct the GD/PI round in February-March 2025. Other XAT-accepting colleges will conduct admissions up to May-June 2025, giving you ample time to prepare and apply. 

What is the XAT Exam?

Xavier Aptitude Test, or XAT, is a national management entrance exam that XLRI, Jamshedpur, offers candidates seeking admission to PGDM and MBA programs. In addition to XLRI and 10 other XAMI member colleges, over 1,000 B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their postgraduate management programmes, such as MBA, PGDM, and Executive MBA.

The XAT question paper is designed to test your skills in various areas. It consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal & Logical Ability, and General Knowledge. For XLRI's PGDM-BM programme , the XAT cut-offs are usually around 95 percentile for male candidates and 92 percentile for female candidates.

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

XAT aspirants must meet minimum credentials to be eligible for the exam. Below are the latest XAT eligibility criteria and academic requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, with a minimum duration of three years or equivalent.
  • Students waiting for their results or in their final year of a bachelor's degree may also take the XAT. 
  • There is no minimum marks requirement in the graduation criteria for the XAT exam. However, candidates should have passing marks in their bachelor's degree programme.
  • Candidates with professional degrees (CA/CS) and working professionals can also take the exam.

How to Register for XAT in 2025 

The XAT registration process is the first step toward XLRI admission. The procedure starts in July-August every year. Aspirants must complete the online XAT 2025 application form and pay the requisite fees to register for the entrance exam. Given below is the XAT 2025 registration and application process:

  • Log on to the XAT 2025 website xatonline.in
  • Click on 'New Registration' and fill out the necessary information.
  • The candidate will receive a unique XAT ID and registration link at the verified email address. 
  • Click on the link to verify your registration
  • Go to XAT 2025 homepage and click on 'login'
  • Enter your email ID and the password to open the application form
  • Fill all the compulsory fields of the XAT 2025 application form
  • Verify the data again before pressing the submit button. 
  • Pay the XAT 2025 application fee of INR 2,100 through a credit/debit card, UPI, or net banking.

XAT admit card 2025 will be available for download from the announcement date until exam day. Below are the steps to download the XAT 2025 admit card:

  • Enter details like XAT User ID and birth date and click on 'login'
  • Click on the admit card tab, download the pdf, and take a printout 

XAT Exam Day Guidelines

XAT aspirants must follow the guidelines the examination authority sets for a hassle-free exam day. Given below are some essential XAT exam day guidelines candidates must follow:

  • XAT admit card is a compulsory document to bring on exam day, so carry two copies of the same
  • Candidates must bring hard copies of their admission card and other photo IDs because digital copies will not be recognized as valid.
  • Reach the exam center an hour before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
  • Do not carry electronic items like watches, mobile phones,  calculators, etc., to the exam centre.
  • Do not carry any stationary (apart from a blue/ballpoint pen) items or eatables to the exam center.
