Surgery is the branch of medicine which is concerned with the treatment of disease, injury and deformity by operation or manipulation. In surgery both acquiring knowledge and learning skills are needed for proper patient management. Students are prepared in such a way that they can develop clinical acumen, make effective communication, undertake leadership challenge and demonstrate certain manipulative skill. So that at the end of the course they can build rapport with patients, colleagues and supporting staffs, can thoroughly evaluate the patient clinically, perform relevant investigations and interpret reports, initiate initial management of trauma patient.
