How to apply for JEE Mains 2019

With every ending educational session, arrives the session for competitive examinations. The exams for aspiring engineers, doctors etc. have started to resurface and thus candidates need to start filling up the forms in order to appear in them in 2019. Alike other application forms, the filling up for JEE mains also included three different steps. Firstly, the form fill-up, secondly the uploading of different documents and lastly, the payment. Errors are not encouraged in these cases since they are involved in terms of the career of a candidate. Mains examination is held on weekends and consists of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

If students are unable for submit their application forms online, then they can do that via Common Service Centres (CSC) that are placed by National Testing Agency (NTA) in 1.5 Lakh different locations. These centres charge for the different services that they offer like preparing e-mail, submission of forms and providing print outs for   Rs 25, uploading of documents for Rs 10, downloading the Admit Card for Rs 10 GST etc.

How to apply for JEE Mains?

For applying for JEE Mains, one needs to register, fill up the application form and follow the steps given below:

  • Registration: Candidates need to firstly register on the official website and click on “Apply for JEE (Main)-2019 online”. After entering the required details on has to click on “Proceed to Apply Online”. Different details of the Aadhaar card are checked with the UID database for further verification.
  • Application form: After the verification is completed, the candidates have to enter the examination related details started from Personal details, Academic details, Contact Details and to Guardian details. Then they will have to select a password, a security question and its correct answer for future reference.
  • Upload Documents: Candidates are further asked to upload their scanned copies of documents like photographs, signatures and thumb impressions. It is essential to note that every single document needs to be of a specific size and then only it is accepted. To upload, the candidates have to click on “Upload Scanned Images”.
  • Payment: After all the above steps are completed the candidates are required to pay for the application forms. The payment is accepted online and offline as well. In case of online payment, it is generally accepted over credit/debit cards whereas for offline payments, e-challans are accepted. The fee for JEE mains examination for General or OBC category is Rs 500 and for SC/ST/PWD/Girls/Transgender category it is Rs. 250 for each paper.

It is important to keep a print of every document that is submitted and the final application form. It will be required at the final stage of examination for having access to the Admit card. It is important to check and re-check the details that are uploaded over the course of filling the application form. It is necessary to use web browsers like Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla 3.0 or Google Chrome 3.0 in order to avoid any piracy or technical issue. The procedure is simple but should be done with utter diligence.
