National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG) is an examination conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) on a national level. It is for candidates or students who want to get admission for MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma courses in medical courses. The exam is accepted throughout the country for post graduate level medical courses. The official website nbe.edu.in generally provides relevant information related to the exam and is also the portal for registration for the same. The exam is to be taken on an online medium. The registration usually starts by the month of November and is closed by the month of December.
NEET PG Eligibility: Ensuring that the candidates fulfil the different eligibility constraints is very important while they are trying to appear for the exam.
It is essential to note that students who have qualified under the J&K do not fall under the eligibility criteria for the quota seats. But, candidate that are nominated by the GOI for pursuing MBBS in J&K are eligible.
Application Form for NEET PG: The registration for the NEET PG 2019 examination can be done by visiting their website i.e. www.nbe.edu.in. Candidates have to click on ‘New Registration’ and then generate an ID and Password. After the same, they can proceed to filling up their personal, residential and parental details along with uploading of signature, photograph etc. A payment of Rs 3750 and Rs 2750 has to be made for General/OBC category and SC/ST/PWD category respectively. The payment is not accepted offline, so one has to select between credit/debits card or net banking.
Candidates are allowed to select their desired city or state from a list when they are selecting their centre of examination. However, the final selection is done by the Board on the basis of availability.
Admit Card: National Board of Examination (NBE) issues the required admit cards or hall tickets to the candidates who successfully complete the process of registration. It is done within 24-hours from the time of registration. Candidates need to carry a valid ID proof along with them on the day of examination.
After successful completion of examination, the results are produced by the end of the month of January. The results are displayed on the official website of NEET PG. it is important to note that the secured marks are only valid for the year that the exam is taken on. The qualifying marks differ for different categories and should be checked thoroughly. Re-evaluation is not entertained by the examination board so it is essential to take the exam seriously. In case of a tie between two students, the final decision is made on the basis of the age of the candidate and the older candidate gets the preference.
