NEET Dress Code 2024 Released by NTA for Male and Female Candidates
The date of NEET 2024 is May 5. The NTA published a list of items that are prohibited from being worn within the examination venue and the dress code for NEET 2024. Candidates will only be permitted to enter the exam room if they follow the dress code.

On exam day, candidates must strictly adhere to the NEET 2024 dress code and guidelines; any deviation may result in their inability to take the exam. - The NEET male candidate dress code prohibits long or full-sleeve shirts and t-shirts, which can be used for hiding notes or other prohibited items—simple clothing without large buttons, pockets, zips, etc.

All covered footwear, including shoes and boots, was prohibited. Candidates are advised to wear sandals with open toes or slippers, which are easier to inspect and less likely to hide prohibited items.
NEET Dress Code 2024 for Female Candidates:
Female candidates had to follow the following guidelines regarding the NEET 2024 dress code on the exam day:
- Simple clothing is best; it should not have any fancy buttons, frills, or stitching.
- Jewellery, whether metallic or not, is not allowed.
- Closed shoes are not permitted; slippers, sandals, or low heels are.

NEET Dress Code 2024 Exceptions
Candidates who cannot follow the dress code of NEET 2024 due to their religious beliefs must mention this when filling out the NEET application form 2024. These candidates were required to choose the option 'Customary dress' when filling out the NEET 2024 application form. Those wearing traditional dress should arrive at least one hour before the exam for frisking and other security procedures. In such cases, candidates must reach the exam center by 12.30 pm so there is sufficient time for proper security checks without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the integrity of the exam.
NEET 2024 Dress Code: COVID-19 Guidelines
In consideration of the safety of the candidates on day of the exam, NEET dress code seen several changes in the past few years. The same rules are expected to be applied to NEET 2024, too. The dress code for NEET examination day in 2024 in the COVID hours is as follows:
- Candidates must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth.
- They must carry a transparent water bottle with them, and the water dispenser facility has been discontinued as a preventive measure.
- Candidates are required to carry a hand sanitizer of 50 ml on the day of their exam.
- Candidates may be allowed to wear gloves while at the exam centre.
- The candidates must carry a filled out and signed Self Declaration as a compulsory document, along with their NEET 2024 admit cards and valid photo ID proof.
