B.Sc(Nursing) Kathmandu Medical College

Kathmandu Medical College started the B.Sc. Nursing Programme from the month of February 2006. This programme, with the affiliation of Kathmandu University and approved by Nepal Nursing Council, was launched successfully.Our concept of nursing is based on the ICN's definition of unique functions, which is "to assist the individual, sick or well, in the performance of those activities contributing to health or to its recovery that she should perform unaided with necessary knowledge and skill". The programme is to prepare competent B.Sc. nurses to function independently in multidisciplinary health fields to provide care to the needy people of the community regarding the preventive and rehabilitative aspects of health.The graduates will be functioning in healing institutions as well as in education, research and administration fields.
