Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is an academic course that combines the fields of Computer Engineering and Computer Science. It is among the most sought-after engineering courses by students. The course covers a variety of subjects, but it focuses on the fundamentals of computer programming and networking. The topics covered by the course include computation algorithms, programming languages, design of programs, computers, computer software, hardware, and others. Computer scientists are involved in a variety of areas of computer science, from the creation of microprocessors for individual computers, supercomputers, personal computers to the design of circuits and the writing of software that runs the machines.

Numerous technical institutes in India and abroad offer UG (Undergraduate) or Postgraduate (Postgraduate) degree programs within Computer Science Engineering. Students can pursue BTech and MTech with a focusing, on Computer Science Engineering from these institutes. Students who take these courses can know about the development, implementation, and management of information systems for computers, software, and hardware.

Eligibility Criteria

Below are the essential prerequisites for being eligible to study a Computer Science Engineering program at the UG or PG level:

Criteria for eligibility for the BTech degree in CSE Candidates must pass the Class 12 examination from an approved board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the core subjects. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum mark of 60% in all the above subjects.

Criteria for eligibility to qualify for MTech for CSE The candidates must complete a BTech degree in the same field with an acceptable percentage.

Computer Science Engineering Syllabus

Computer Science Engineering students study the development, implementation, and administration of information systems, including hardware and software processes. Some of the subjects that students study in their CSE examination include:

The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has provided the standard syllabus to be followed by Computer Science Engineering that every college offering the program must be following. Take the following look below:
