The National Testing Agency is set to conclude the registration window for the (NEET )National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate Courses (NEET-UG) 2024 tomorrow, i.e., March 9, 2024 - at 9 pm. Aspirants will be able to register themselves by filling out the online proforma available on the official website of NEET UG 2024 at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
The NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2024, and the results are expected to be declared on June 14, 2024.
The exam duration is 200 minutes, and the time of the exam is from 2 pm to 5.20 pm. The Entrance Exam shall consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (four options with a single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (Botany & Zoology). 50 questions in every subject will be divided into two sections (A and B).
NEET UG 2024: Eligibility
To be eligible for the NEET UG 2024, candidates must meet certain criteria. First and foremost, they must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or will reach that age by December 31 of the admission year.
Candidates must have completed Class 12th or an equivalent exam from a recognised board. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are among the required subjects, with English serving as a prerequisite.
Furthermore, the minimum marks required for Class 12 vary according to the applicant's category. For those in the General Category, a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined is required. However, candidates in the SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories must meet a slightly lower minimum requirement of 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.
