The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has updated a notice on its official website mentioning that the CLAT 2024 advertisement will be released on July 7. The CLAT 2025 will be conducted on December 1, 2024. Candidates will be able to check results on consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The CLAT 2025 notification will include details on the exam date, eligibility, exam time, admit card, syllabus, marking scheme, and exam fee. The exam is typically divided into sections covering English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning.

CLAT 2025 Exam on December 1

A notice released in May reads, "The Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities (the "Consortium") at their Meetings held on April 26, 2024, decided that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 shall be conducted on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 2 PM-4 PM. Further details regarding the syllabus, application and counselling process shall be released shortly."

CLAT 2025 Eligibility, Application Fee

The CLAT exam welcomes all, with eligibility criteria that consider the diverse academic backgrounds of students. Those who have completed Class 12 from a recognized board with at least 45% marks (40% in the case of SC and ST candidates) can apply. For the PG program, candidates should have passed LLB with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% for SC/ST applicants.

For applying, candidates belonging to the general, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Non-Residential Indian (NRI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) categories will have to pay Rs 4,000 as the application fee. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants will have to make a payment of Rs 3,000. The application process will be detailed in the CLAT 2025 notification.

The CLAT exam is a crucial step for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. It is conducted every year to admit students to these programmes offered by 22 NLUs and other participating institutes.
