The department of chemistry and Physics was established in 2014 in Gono Bishwabidyalay with the object of making real good teachers and scholars who can impart successfully and efficiently courses in sciences both in the secondary and higher secondary as well as under graduation and post graduation levels. The country is indeed in dearth of this sort of man power. In pursuance of the current education policy of the government, Gono Bishwabidyalay opened up the combined department of Chemistry and Physics under the faculty of Physical Sciences.
