Welcome to the Department of Microbiology, Gono Bishwabidyalay. The department established in 1998 under the faculty of Health and Medical Science intends to educate students with the necessary knowledge of biological science and helps them to be skilled to enter any research or industrial institutions of the related fields. The department offers a full-time 4-year B.Sc (Hon’s) program in Microbiology. In this curriculum, principal emphasis is placed on understanding microorganisms and their interrelationships with other organisms in nature, the application of microbiology in health and medicine, environment, agriculture and industry, and the study of fundamental life processes as exemplified by microorganism
