Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is organised by the National Law Universities (NLUs). However, CLAT 2018 was organised by the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS). Candidates who are willing to study in the field of Law and Order must qualify under this exam and then they can further take admission for courses like BA LLB, BBA LLB, BSc LLB and other LLM programs. The exam is going be conducted on the offline medium where and would consist of about 200 objective-type questions. Questions come from different segments namely English, Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning and Mathematics.

New Introductions for CLAT 2019:

  • Offline Exam: The association for CLAT recently decided that CLAT 2019 would be in offline mode. It would be organised in different locations and test centres all over the country and not just at National Law Universities.
  • Permanent website: It was also decided by the authorities from the association for CLAT that there would be a permanent website for all the official requirements. This was ensured because every year a new website would be launched for the official and exam work and it got very confusing for the students.
  • Question banks: The third new addition was the creation of questions from certified question banks. These questions would be contributed by different institutes and experts from all the universities around the country. This in turn improves the quality of the questions that are asked in the exam.
  • Subjective questions: In terms of the exam for LLM courses, the association decided to twist the pattern a bit by changing some portions. CLAT 2019 LLM questions would also include subjective questions. These questions would check the candidates for their writing and judgment abilities.

CLAT 2019 Complete Process: After checking whether a candidate is eligible to appear for the CLAT exams or not, they must look forward to completing the registration and application process. There are different steps which are time consuming and thus should be done carefully.

Admit Card: The next step after filling the application form and making the payment is to get the admit cards for the exams. The candidates can have access to their admit cards through the official website. It is necessary for appearing in the exam and should be kept carefully.

CLAT 2019 Exam: The exam is of 2 hours and consists of 200 questions of 1 mark each. There are different segments to the complete exam starting from the types of questions to the subject areas.

The second last part for any candidate appearing for CLAT is to check their respective results. They appear on the official website as soon as they are released.
