The Mining Engineering Department at the Jharkhand Rai University in Ranchi prepares students for successful, long-lasting jobs in the mining industry and related fields or disciplines. It provides knowledge that is useful to produce the minerals in the region, train students to work in all areas of development and planning in the Mining or Mineral industry, and disseminate the latest knowledge and skills to aid in the sustainable and secure extraction of mineral resources. The course covers mineral processing, mining planning, operations analysis, analysis of reserves mining costing mining ventilation, mine laws, mine management, mining health, mine and miner's safety, rock mechanics, material handling, blasting and drilling, as well as other related topics.
