This program teaches students about essential food preservation and conservation. This course focuses on the design of food processing plants, their location and layout, and other requirements such as water supply, electricity supply, clean environment, and sanitation. Food processing equipment, packaging requirements, utensils, and standards for material used in food processing equipment's construction. Standardization of food processes and equipment arrangements in the best way possible. Practical knowledge is gained from a visit to the food processing industry. Food Industry Training is also offered. Scope and importance of food plant engineering, Processing techniques, and their requirements. Preservation by drying, Preservation at low temperatures, Heat treatments, and Food conversion operation. This course teaches students about the various methods and procedures involved with food packaging. This course helps students understand the importance and processing of different food products. This course will cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of the food industry.

Food graduates can start their businesses with minimal investment. Examples of successful businesses include bakery, confectionery, dairy, microbial culture, fruit processing, and milling.
