BA (Hons.) in English with a specialization in Mass Communication offered by The Neotia University is the only degree offered in Bengal that prepares students who graduate for a job in the industry. The course comes with the option of a concentration in Mass Communication as a Vocational Option, which provides students with exposure to the industry and those looking to pursue higher academics. This course offers added value to similar programs offered by other universities. There are two exit points for students in this program - industry (jobs) and higher Academics and Research.
All faculty in The English department is highly educated with extensive knowledge and expertise in academics and industry. Experts from the academic world and experts in the industry create the curriculum for the courses. Internships and Industrial training is a part of the course. In this program, the University also offers assistance to students who want to pursue their academic career by challenging them to think critically and preparing them for pertinent exams like The National Eligibility Test (NET), which the CBSE administers in conjunction with the University Grants Commission (UGC). The department also offers the PhD program in English with researchers pursuing a PhD.
