Type : Govt.The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has been established by an Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period to address to the concerns of ‘equity and access’ and to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrolment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%. The CUK, with its territorial jurisdiction all over Karnataka has been initiated its activities from the academic year beginning August 2009 in keeping with the philosophy of achieving and maintaining the highest levels of academic excellence, sensitivity to equity and access in enrolment and recruitment and emerging as a premier national educational and research institution in the country. Bachelor of Education or B. Ed. is an undergraduate program of 2-year duration. The course specifically caters to the students who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and related fields. It is a skill based training program which imparts knowledge to students regarding all aspects of classroom teaching.
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): Degree Overview. A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program can prepare students to manage companies by teaching subjects such as marketing and human resources.
This course introduces students to the basic concepts of macroeconomics. The aim is to equip the students with various theories of income determination, money supply and price-wage relationships. Some relevant policy issues are covered as well.
B.Sc. IT is a 3-year undergraduate course, the minimum eligibility for which is a 10+2/ intermediate qualification. The average tuition fee charged in India for the course ranges between INR 90,000 and 4.3 Lacs for 3 years.
Master of Education or M.Ed. is a Postgraduate course which deals with the methodology of educational research and experimentation of new techniques of teaching. This course particularly introduces you to new levels of teaching processes. Students who have successfully qualified there bachelors of education (B.Ed) from a recognized institution are eligible to apply.
It is a specialized course which prepares an individual for a career in finance and corporate sector. The course is of 2 years duration in which each year is comprised of two semesters with various subjects based on thesis and research work according to the curriculum of university.
Ph.D. in Education is a 3-5 year course, the minimum eligibility for which is a postgraduate course in Education. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Education/Bachelor in Technology in Education from recognized University. Admission to the course is done on the basis of counseling after clearing entrance tests which may vary across colleges.
