The practice of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is formally introduced at the 3rd year level in the Doctor of Medicine program. This training continues on to clinical rotations in ENT- HNS during Internship where students are also acquainted to various surgical procedures in the specialty. Due to its wide scope, the ENT-HNS curriculum has been designed to emphasize only the most commonly encountered ENT-HNS conditions. The faculty of the department streamlined the content to only the most practical for any doctor, whether a Primary Care Physician or a Specialist practicing in various clinical specialties or other health-related fields. By the end of Internship, all graduates are expected to be able to competently diagnose and medically manage the most common ENT-HNS disorders and recognize patients who are in need of further specialty referral .
