The world is filled with people that are getting sick because of something and the doctors are here to help but we do need someone who cures us, the Nurse. Nursing means curing someone from a disease or helping recover from that place. This profession is highly acknowledged by the women in our country for various reasons. But one has to qualify for the nursing exams and then study a course before they can start practising. The profession takes a lot of courage, patience and hard work since it doesn’t have a specific working schedule or hour. Being said that, even men have started to widely accept this as one of their major professional choices.
Career Prospective:
Nursing is a career that is going to be bright for ever because of its strong need. But one should remember that this is a very consuming career where your work is to be dedicated and caring. If you are looking forward to becoming a nurse then you must apply for a nursing course in a college or university or institute that has accreditation under the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
The job of a nurse is always grossing in the country and thus one is never unemployed. One can either work on their own or work for a nursing home or hospital. The private hospitals require more nurses since their quality of service has a lot to do with the work division in a better way. They also tend to train nurses before hiring them permanently. Every single year a total of 23,000 nurses are hired in our country.
One can select from a Bottom of Form
Staff Nurse, Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Deputy Nursing Superintendent, Department Supervisor, Nursing Superintendent, Nursing Supervisor or Ward Sister, Teacher of Nursing, Military Nurse and so on. All of these jobs differ from one another because of the specialisation and work style as well.
One can opt for the places they would like to function for from Government run hospitals, Super speciality hospital, Orphanages, Nursing homes, Old age homes, Sanatoriums, Armed forces, Indian Nursing Council etc. Even NGO’s hire nurses frequently for different medical projects.
Pay Scale
The nursing career because of its high demands pays well to people who are even slightly experienced. One can start with a salary of Rs 8000 to Rs 12000 even if they are a fresher. When it comes to a little more experienced people the salary goes upto something near Rs. 20, 000 to Rs. 40, 000 every month.
Opportunities Abroad
The scope of a person to practice their profession abroad has been on a higher side for quite some time now. Nursing similarly has required a stronger strength from all the places. The package of course differs when it comes to serving in our country and abroad. So, if one wants to practice outside the country they should definitely check for the courses and apply for fellowships at the earliest.
With all of that said, it might seem easy when viewed from the outside but is a very important and hard sector to work in.
