Giving a motive to medical aspirants to celebrate, the National Medical Commission has given its nod to 2 greater new medical colleges in Kamareddy and Komaram Bheem Asifabad districts of Telangana with 100 MBBS seats in every university for the academic 2023-24.

Health Minister T Harish Rao announced this regard on Saturday. The approved medical colleges in the state would further strengthen medical education and healthcare facilities in rural areas.
“This will not only enhance healthcare services in the state but also provide more opportunities for aspiring medical professionals,” Rao added.
The above announcement is good news for medical aspirants residing in rural areas who are often forced to travel to other districts for admission to a good medical college.
In a letter issued to the Principal of sanctioned medical colleges on April 5, The National Medical Commission Medical Assessment & Rating Board (MARD) mentioned, “This permission for starting of above mentioned MBBS course and admission of students will be for a such time the first batch of students admitted against the above course appears for the final examination in the subject.”
