The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Examination is one of the leading national level competitive exams that are annually conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The sole objective of this exam is to recruit favourable candidates for the nation’s civil services such as Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other aspects such as the IRS, IAAS, CAPF-AF and many more. Every year, on an average, about 2 lakh candidates are recorded approximately to have been appearing for the Civil Services Examinations.
In the meantime, the UPSC has already released dates of the exams for the 2019 version of IAS. The same information is also available on their official website since 19th February, 2019. Any candidate who possesses a graduation degree or equivalent degree from an authorized university, is eligible to apply for the IAS exams.
What’s the exam pattern?
The pattern of the IAS Examination is consisted of three different stages. They have been mentioned as follows. The dates for each stage of exam are also been mentioned below:
1st Stage: IAS Preliminary rounds has been scheduled to be held on 2nd June, 2019
2nd Stage: The IAS Mains round shall be held on 20th September, 2019
3rd Stage: On the other hand, the Interview or Personality Test shall be conducted as per the dates to be declared after the initial two stages. The dates are still not been announced by the administrative body.
Information regarding the application process and some other important dates
The application form for the 2019 IAS exams has already been released. The same has been released on 19th February and the same would be available on their official website till 18th of March, 2019. Once the application process is over, you shall get hold of your admit cards during the month of May this year.

Age Limit
The lower limit of age eligible for application for the IAS Exam 2019 is 21 years while 32 years is the upper age limit.
