The Neotia University (TNU) is the First Private University in W.B. to offer an ICAR directed B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture 4-year course. Sixty acres of campus, including net house, poly house, aquaponics unit meteorological observatory, and laboratory facilities that have been developed for practical use (agronomy gardening, soil science breeding and genetics as well as entomology, agriculture extension, agriculture engineering, and more.) to carry out live projects and research opportunities for students. Graduates and postgraduates from the field of agriculture can find a variety of opportunities for research, teaching, and technology transfer within ICAR, State Agricultural Universities, State Departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and NGOs. A Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts an annual examination to determine the eligibility for hiring in the Indian Forest Services. One of the minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture. Candidates who have completed their studies can apply for any job in the government that requires the graduation requirement as a prerequisite, including defense services, banks, etc. Candidates can also apply for state-level exams for positions such as assistant Agricultural Officers, Assistant Agricultural officers, the Seed Office, and many other positions.
