The UPES School's UnderGraduate Program for the field of User Experience and Interaction Design integrates technical expertise as well as interdisciplinary research and an innovative artistic-scientific approach. This allows for creating unique interfaces that produce modern and creative applications in media design, studies, multimedia art and communication. Students will develop proficiency in designing engaging user interfaces that range from 2D screens (UI for mobile and the web) up to three-dimensional (AR/VR).

Academic Framework

Since its beginning, the core of higher learning in UPES has been to investigate and foster learning opportunities with a focus on innovation and futurism. This has resulted in constant advancement in the facilitation of innovative and collaborative learning experiences for students by reorienting the course curriculum and the exploration of online tools and open-source courseware. This has led to an environment of learning that is apprehensive and accessible to a wealth of information.

The new curriculum framework of UPES, ABLE (Academic Blueprint for Learning Excellence), is comprehensive in its overall design and yet is focused on the unique needs of each student to learn experiences, discover, investigate and test. Learning is divided into core subject areas, core specialism studies minors/exploratory subject areas, and life skills and signature learning. The newly established School provides the last three for life.

SFL (School for the Future) is an integral component of the complete UPES student experience. It helps students learn and attain a degree that balances the needs of students and what is expected of the future leaders and citizens of the world of the future. Through courses that are designed to provide students with the ability to learn for life and a concentration on a variety of current issues, as well as the requirement of a professional and social internship experience that is truly unique, UPES believes in igniting to awaken the best of oneself to improve the world.

Qualification Criteria for Eligibility:

Candidates must have minimum marks of 50% at the Senior Secondary and Higher Secondary Grade (X and XII for any stream).

Entry Test

Exam Pathway:

• UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPES-DAT) and then an individual interview and presentation of the work portfolio.

Non-Examination Pathway:

• Based on an official Board Merit, NIFT, NID and UCEED scores, candidates are invited to attend a personal interview, followed by a presentation of their work portfolio.
• The date for interviews and presentation of portfolios will be released after the UPES-DAT results have been announced.
