The UPES School for Design's Undergraduate Programme, B.Des. focuses on Animation, and VFX provides students with an excellent foundation in video, design, and audio techniques, modeling, rigging, texturing. The use of lighting and digital cinematography, digital color grading, and three-dimensional digital images. The courses also cover motion graphics and skills in the virtual studio, 3D tracking, compositing particles, and dynamics.

Academic Framework

Since its beginning, the primary goal of higher education within UPES has been to investigate and foster learning opportunities that are futuristic and innovative. This has led to continuous improvement in facilitating innovative and collaborative learning experiences for students by reorienting the course curriculum and exploring virtual tools and open-source courseware, resulting in the possibility of unlimited learning and access to a wealth of information.

The new curriculum framework of UPES, ABLE (Academic Blueprint for Learning Excellence), is complete in its design and focuses on each student's unique needs to learn the world, experiment, and be challenged. Learning is divided into core subject areas and core specialisms minors/exploratory subjects and life skills and signature learning. The recently established School for Life offers the last three.

SFL (School for the Future) is an integral component of the complete UPES student experience. It promotes learning and education that strikes a balance between what students desire and what they need from their future leaders and global citizens. Through courses that are designed to provide students with the ability to learn for life and a concentration on a variety of current issues, as well as the requirement of a professional and social internship that is genuinely unique, UPES believes in igniting to ignite the best version of oneself to improve the world.

Criteria for Eligibility:

Students must have at least 50% marks in Intermediate and Senior Secondary level (X and XII in any stream)

Entrance Exam

Exam Pathway:

UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPES-DAT) and then an individual interview and portfolio presentation.

Based on the official Board Merit, NIFT, NID, and UCEED scores, applicants will be invited for a personal interview as well as a presentation of their work portfolio.

The time of an interview and portfolio presentations will be revealed following the UPESA-DAT result.
