Academic Framework

Since its beginning, the foundation of higher education within UPES has been to investigate and foster learning opportunities that are innovative and futuristic. This has resulted in constant advancement in facilitating creative and collaborative learning opportunities for students by reorienting the course curriculum and the exploration of online tools and open-source courseware, thereby enabling an environment of learning that is apprehensive and accessible to a wealth of information.

The new framework for curriculum at UPES, ABLE (Academic Blueprint for Learning Excellence), is comprehensive in its overall structure. However, it is focused on the unique needs of each student to learn the world, experiment, and test. The learning is broken down into core subjects as well as core specialism studies, minors/exploratory subject areas, and life-skills and signature subjects. The recently established School provides the last three for life.

SFL (School for Living) is an integral component of the overall UPES student experience. It helps facilitate learning and education that strikes an ideal blend of what students desire and need from future global leaders and citizens. Through courses designed to provide students with the ability to learn for life and a concentration on a variety of current issues, and an obligatory professional and social internship that is distinctive, UPES believes in igniting to awaken the best of oneself to improve the world.

Students with the minimum score of UGAT 2022 of 60 percent or more are exempt from the UPES Admissions Management Test as well as called for a Personal Interview if qualified.
