Bapuji Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET), Davangere, was a private engineering institution established in 1979. The college is managed and administered through the Bapuji Educational Association (BEA), an education conglomerate. It is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and is endorsed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is accredited by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and is accredited through the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an "A" grade. It offers engineering classes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in several specializations.
