B.Arch offers a 5-year, undergraduate architecture program. It combines the theory and practice of architecture to enable students to develop a thorough knowledge of the design, planning and construction, and construction of physical structures in all types. Each construction project is overseen by an experienced architect, from the concept to the planning phase. The opportunities for a B.Arch graduate have gone up due to the present growth and industrialization, making it a very sought-after and well-paying one.
According to Cambridge, the definition of architecture can be defined as" an art form and science of designing and building structures." It is crucial for anyone looking to become an architect to have the ability to think rationally as well as being artistic. Architects design models of buildings, sketch blueprints for building on, and design and construct different physical land or structures.
The B.Arch in its entirety will be a Bachelor of Architecture. The program is considered by many to be professional and comprises five years of study and one year of practicum. The main subjects of B Arch are Architectural Design, Visual Arts and Basic Design, Construction and Construction, Design Methodology, History of Architecture, Computer Applications, Working Drawings, and Theory of Structures. There is an extensive demand for jobs due to the need, and B.Arch professionals can be employed as urban planners, architects, Interior/set designers, or depending on their abilities and talents.
Admission to B.Arch starts by determining the requirements for eligibility that include passing the twelfth grade, with a high score in chemistry, physics, and math. Also, an acceptable score on the NATA and JEE main-2 tests following the institution's requirements. The bachelor's degree in architecture offers a broad job opportunity; since it is a high-end degree, it also allows the continuation of studies or post-graduation options for those seeking a certain area of study.
The process of admission to the B.Arch course starts with the student confirming their eligibility requirements of having completed 12th grade and the necessary entrance tests to prevent rejection. The criteria for admission to these courses will differ based on the college they choose, the category they are in,
etc. After the students have taken the entrance test, the universities and colleges will announce their cut-offs for admission once the results are released. Although the admission procedure varies between colleges and college to college, here are the steps students must follow in order to gain admission:
The offline or online portal must be used to access the application form. After that, it must be filled out. Due to the covid requirement online, it is the only alternative available.
