Private Engineering Courses Admission Eligibility Criteria

Private Engineering courses can be completed at the diploma, UG, and Ph.D. levels. The eligibility requirements differ according to the specific course and the branch chosen by the student. The following is a general eligibility requirement for diploma, UG, and Ph.D. Engineering courses to be used to determine the eligibility of candidates:

  • BE/BTech; The candidates must pass the Class 12 exam from a recognized school with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their core subjects. They also need to have at least 60% of their aggregate score.
  • The BTech Lateral Entry Candidates must pass an examination lasting three years. Diploma awarded through the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government and must have at least 45 percent average or equivalent.
  • ME/MTech candidates who've completed their BE/BTech degree and have an acceptable score on GATE are eligible for the ME/MTech degree course.
  • Degree: Aspirants must have completed the equivalent of Class 10 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 35 percent in Maths and Science subjects.
  • Ph.D. Candidates must obtain a minimum of 5 percent total (or 5.5 CPI in BTech/MTech or equivalent in the relevant fields.
