Integrated (B.Des) and (M.Des)  in Interaction Design helps students research and analyze, design, and design concepts within the social, business and cultural contexts within current and emerging technologies.

Integrated (B.Des) and (M.Des)  in Interaction Design helps students research and analyze, design, and design concepts within the social, business and cultural contexts within current and emerging technologies. Students will develop proficiency in designing engaging user interfaces which range from a 2D screen (UI for mobile and the web) up to 3D (AR/VR and will be able to think about user experiences with technological advancements and design interfaces to make them more user-friendly, efficient and enjoyable.

Academic Framework

Since its beginning, the core of higher education in UPES has been to investigate and foster learning opportunities that are creative and forward-looking. This has resulted in constant advancement in the facilitation of creative and collaborative learning opportunities for students through the re-alignment of course curriculum and the exploration of virtual tools and open-source courseware, resulting in the possibility of unlimited learning and access to unlimited information.

The new curriculum framework of UPES, ABLE (Academic Blueprint for Learning Excellence), is comprehensive within its structure; nevertheless, it focuses on the unique requirement of each student to explore, discover the world, and be challenged. The learning is broken down into core subjects and core specialisms minors/exploratory subject areas, life skills and signature learning. The recently established School provides the last three for Life.

SFL (School for the Future) is an integral part of the overall UPES student experience. It allows education and learning that is balanced between the needs of students and what is expected of the future global leaders and citizens of the future. With programs designed to equip students with lifelong learning capabilities with a particular concentration on various current issues and an obligatory professional and truly unique and social internship experience, UPES believes in igniting to ignite the best person within each of us to improve the world.

 

Entry Test

Examination Pathway

UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPES-DAT), followed by a personal interview and a presentation of the portfolio of work.

  • The interview and presentation of the portfolio will be announced after the UPES-DAT results are announced.

Non-Examination Pathway:

Based on current Board Merit, NIFT, NID and UCEED rankings, applicants are invited to attend a personal interview as well as a presentation on their work portfolio.
