5 Post Graduate Programs that IIMs offer

The IIM (Indian Institute of Management) offers Post Graduate Programs (PGP) as their flagship course in all of its 20 institutes across the country. Duration of these courses is 2 years with each year divided into 3 trimesters. The PGP offered by IIMs is equally valued alongside the regular MBA programs. The IIMs also offer the EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Programme), FPM (Fellow Programme in Management) and many other part-time certificate courses.

PGP is fully integrated of core courses taught across numerous management disciplines. Students can choose their preferred elective course during their second year. 

PGP- FABM (Food and Agribusiness Management)

It’s a full-time 2 years course; previously renowned to be the PGP- ABM program.

During first year of the course, PGP (Flagship) and FABM students shall be provided with a common syllabus. However, FABM students need to study a few extra topics. The second year of FABM generally focuses on agro related subjects.

PGP in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM)

PGPHRM is IIM Ranchi’s flagship full-time program. It’s been divided into six semesters. Each summer, a project is assigned to all students.

PGP in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM)

This particular program has been aiming to provide comprehensive business education for improving efficiency and enhancing their leadership skills. PGPPM Students interested in taking up new challenges are best suited for this course. PGPPM’s duration is 1 year, which includes two-week international immersion curriculum.

PGP in Enterprise Management (PGPEM)

IIM Bangalore offers this 22 months long weekend residential programme. The program is best tailored for mid-level as well as senior executives with work experience of least 4 years after graduation.

PGP in Business Management (PGPBM)

IIM Tiruchirappalli offers the PGP in Business Management. This 24 months long program has been launched with the goal of preparing leaders among working executives. Successfully passing this course will help you land senior leadership roles. This program’s intension is to create professional managers with adequate skills that will enable them to work across all sectors of a given organization.
