Health Informatics (HI) is an interdisciplinary field within the health industry that uses information technology to manage and analyze health data to improve health outcomes. This program focuses on the equipment, resources, and methods needed to collect storage information, retrieve and process medical and health information. Healthcare informatics gives online access to health records to patients, physicians, nurses, hospitals administrators and insurance firms, and health information technicians.

Academic Framework

Since its beginning, the foundation of higher education within UPES has been to investigate and encourage learning areas that are new and forward-looking. This has resulted in constant improvement in facilitating innovative and collaborative learning experiences for students by reorienting the courses and exploring virtual tools and open-source courseware. The new framework for curriculum at UPES, ABLE (Academic Blueprint for Learning Excellence), is comprehensive in its overall structure. However, it is focused on the unique needs of each student to explore experiences, discover, investigate, and be challenged. The learning is broken down into core subjects and core specialisms and subjects that are exploratory or minors, in addition to life skills and signature learning. The recently established School provides these three courses for Life.

SFL (School for Living) is an integral component of the complete UPES student experience. It aids in learning and education, balancing what students desire and what is expected of future leaders and global citizens. With programs designed to equip students with the ability to learn for life and a concentration on a variety of current issues, as well as an obligatory professional and truly unique and social internship experience, UPES believes in igniting to inspire the best version inside each person to make a difference in the world.
