Mechanical engineering is an all-four-year BTech program that teaches students the basics of knowledge and understanding of how heavy tools and machinery operate. Students enrolled in the mechanical engineering course will learn about designing electric motors for automobiles, aircraft, and other large vehicles. Mechanical engineers create everything from batteries to medical equipment and personal computers, automobile engines, air conditioners, to electric power stations. Engineers also create machines to create these inventions. The range for mechanical engineering both in India and abroad is enormous in all aspects of our lives that are affected by mechanical technology in some way or another. With various industries covered and professions, the opportunities for students who pursue the course are numerous.
The fundamental eligibility requirement for enrolling in the Mechanical Engineering program at the UG or PG levels is:
undergraduate (UG): Students must have passed the class 10+2 test at a recognized institution with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the core subjects. They must also have at least 60 marks in aggregate for the three subjects above.
Postgraduate (PG): Students must have completed a BTech degree in the same field with a pass rate across all the courses studied at the graduate level.
Notice: The eligibility criteria would differ from college to college.
