Plant Biotechnology assists in developing new varieties of crops like genetically engineered crops, markers assistance in selection, genomics, for instance. This area of study assists in mapping and identifying genes, identifying their roles and then transferring the desired gene to specific plants according to need. This field of study concentrates on the fundamental aspect of genetic engineering to increase the efficacy, expression, and precision of the added gene.

The program's problem-based learning method focuses on proteomics, genomics, and metabolomics. The program's curriculum of Plant Biotechnology is planned with theoretical studies. Students will gain hands-on experiences by utilizing various techniques to identify genetic variations and their implications in plants. Students will be exposed to problem-solving sessions to improve their abilities to apply the techniques and develop the research project.
