Dietetics and holistic wellness encompass all aspects of food plans and their impact on health, focusing on applying scientific knowledge about nutrition calculation. Dietetics and holistic health prepare students to use the latest understanding of food and diet to combat and prevent illnesses and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Dietetics is a discipline that studies the appropriateness of the diet in a regular cycle and the adjustments required during an illness. Holistic wellness involves the active process of becoming conscious and making decisions that will result in well-being and health. This course allows students to master the techniques to assess the nutritional needs of humans and dietary assessment and planning. It teaches the theories that are associated with diet therapy. It also covers the fundamentals of dietetics, public health therapeutic nutrition, and other health therapies. It focuses on the monitoring of diet food exchange calculations of calories. This specialty covers all aspects of Incidence of pathology, etiology and metabolic disorders, the clinical manifestation of complications, diet management and counseling of acute, chronic fever, surgery burns, trauma, burns.

Academic Framework

Since its beginning, the primary goal of higher education within UPES has been to investigate and foster learning opportunities that are innovative and forward-looking. Learning is separated into core subject areas and core specialisms, minors/exploratory subject areas, life skills, and signature subjects. The recently established School provides these three courses for life.

SFL (School for the Future) is an integral component of the complete UPES student experience. It aids in learning and education, balancing what students desire and what they need from the future global leaders and citizens of tomorrow, with programs designed to provide students with the ability to learn for life and concentrate on various contemporary issues. The requirement of a professional and social internship experience that is truly unique, UPES believes in igniting to inspire the best version inside each person to make a difference in the world.

 

Eligibility

  • Students should have a minimum of 50% marks at the Senior Secondary and Higher Secondary levels (10th or 12th) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths, and English as a primary subject.
