Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes in 1972, the establishment gained the status of a university in the year 1996. The campus is located in Punjab's Fatehgarh Sahib District; Desh Bhagat University is an official state-owned private university established under the Punjab Government Desh Bhagat University Act 2012. The university also has Moga, Chandigarh, Shri Muktsar Sahib, and Kenya centers.

The university is endorsed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and which is the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) as well, The Bar Council of India (BCI) as well as the Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) in addition to other. Admission 2022
