APS College of Engineering was founded in 1997 by APS Educational Trust. This well-known foundation has a remarkable 65 years of experience in education through a series of schools, preuniversity, and degree colleges. The trust also established APS College of Commerce in Bangalore. APS College of Engineering is also known as APSCE. It is a private co-educational college affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belgaum and accredited by the All India Council of Technical Engineering.

The college is located in Somanahalli on Kanakapura Road, approximately 26km from Bangalore. The college offers five undergraduate programs for 4 years, including CSE, ISE, and CV. ME, and 2 undergraduate programs of two years under M.Tech. - DEC or CSE.

All courses are admitted based on passing the qualifying entrance exams and scores on the 12th board exams or equivalent. Students who cannot appear in counseling or entrance exams can still apply.

All courses are admitted based on the rank obtained in each course's entrance exam and the 12th board exam/equivalent qualifying exams.

JEE Mains, KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test), and COMEDK UGET are acceptable for B.Tech programs.

M.Tech. Accepted for M.Tech. Programs are GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test) and KPGCET [Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test].

Placement

The maximum placement rate at APS College of Engineering was 95%. More than 40 companies come to the campus every year to place students and then hire them. The campus has a 60% placement rate, and approximately 75% of APS students have been placed there. Students are offered about 20 workshops and seminars each year by the placement department. They receive specific training.

• Companies are invited to join the Placement Team.
• Final year students are provided with information about the company and the placement schedule.
• The company is given a convenient date.
• Students are invited to attend a pre-placement meeting.
• The company conducts a Group discussion and Company Test.
• Interviews are conducted with shortlisted candidates, and the final selection is made.
