The cost of studying DNB (Anatomy) at accredited hospitals or institutes is Rs.1,25,000 to Rs . 2,40,000 per year.

After completing their course, doctors can go out on the job market or enroll in a super-specialization training course in which DNB anatomy is the prerequisite qualification. Candidates can apply for reputable jobs as Senior residents and Junior Consultants, etc., with an estimated salary ranging from 10,00,000 to Rs. 10,00,000 to Rs. 35,00,000 a year.
 

DNB can be similar to MD, MS/DM, and MCh degrees awarded in medical and surgical super areas. The list of qualifications recognized by the Board granted through the Board in different super specialties and broad areas that the Government of India has recognized are included in the first list in the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

The DNB is broad-specialty qualifications and super-specialty qualifications when granted in a medical institution with the attached hospital. The strength of 500 or more beds in a hospital by the National Board of Examinations shall be similar to the corresponding pg qualification and the super-specialty qualification granted under the Act. However, in all other cases, senior residency in a medical college for an additional year shall be required for such qualification to be equivalent to teaching.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements for DNB within Anatomy are described as the rules or the minimum prerequisites applicants must satisfy to be able to apply for admission. These comprise:

  • Candidates must possess at least an undergrad MBBS degree from a university or college accredited by the Medical Council of India (MCI), now NMC.
  • Candidates must have completed the compulsory rotation internship for one year in a medical teaching establishment, or any other recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and is now NMC.
  • The applicant must have a permanent registration through the State Medical Council to be qualified to be admitted.
  • Medical college's acceptance deadlines for MBBS Degree programs and the obligatory Rotatory Internships will follow the Medical Council of India (now NMC).
  • Candidates who complete the final examination that results in the awarding of a Postgraduate degree (MD/MS) of the Indian University, which is validly recognized under the requirements in the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act 2019. In addition, the first schedule in the IMC Act can apply for the DNB Final examination in the same broad field.

Admission Process

  • NEET PG, or National Eligibility Test to Postgraduates, is a master's national-level test administered by the NBE to be able to enter MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.
  • The eligibility criteria to participate in counseling for the allocation of PG seats by the governing authority responsible for counseling is to be used instead of that of the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations (as in the most recent revision) announced to MoHFW.
