Maratha Mandal Engineering College was founded in the year 1997. The College is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi The college is run is run by Maratha Mandal Trust which was established in the year of 1931 The college has a facility of E-Vidya. E-Vidya is a Video Streaming server which provides the contents of National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), VTU and other contents of VTU affiliated college campuses Sports: The college organizes various inter-college and national level competitions like VTU Inter College Best Physique Championship 2013, Pradeep Kamat Memorial Tournament 2012 , All India Intercollegiate Chess Completion Grande Ora Trinity etc
