Ramisht College of Education

The ‘RAMISHT COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, BASOHLI’ was established during the year 2003. It is recognized by and affiliated to the University of Jammu. It is located on foot hills of a mountain spur ejecting out from the lesser Himalayas. There is lush green forest on the slopes of the ridges starting from the boundary wall of the college. In fact college building itself is located on the hill slope. Its outer gate opens on the state highway connecting Lakhanpur- Basohli- Bani. Basohli town can be approached either from Lakhanpur, a two hours journey by bus or from Dunera a forty minutes journey (20 minutes from Dunera to lake side, 10 minutes by steamer and 10 minutes walk).
