Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) was established in the year 2006 under the Punjab University Act, 2006. It is approved by Bar Council of India and registered with University Grants Commission (UGC). It is located at Sidhuwal, Bhadson Road, in Patiala. It has formed Strong Paralegal Volunteer Force of 110 members. It has collaborated with- Ontario International Development Agency (OIDA), Toronto, Canada and International Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Law, Laurentian University, Sudbury, Canada It is an active member of 14 law Institutes around the world It has Thapar University as its neighboring campus which is near Central jail
