MC Khalsa College of Education

The college draws its name from the Maharani Chand Kour who was brave daughter-in-law of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and wife of Maharaja Kharak Singh. Maharani spent her last years in Jammu serving the people. A school building was constructed in 1959 near the samadhi of Rani Chand Kour in her memory. Later the school was upgraded to College of Education in the year 1989 for imparting training to the teachers. Since then the college is growing by leaps and bounds in bringing out the best teachers. The college has performed outstandingly through all these years rolling out the record number of positions and distinctions with a pass percentage of over 98% every year.
