GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Government Engineering College, Haveri was established in the year 2007 by Government of Karnataka with the sole intention of imparting technical education to the rural mass and down troddens at reasonably cheaper rate so that it can elevate the life standards of rural people. The dream of Govt. of Karnataka is well realized through structured efforts putforth by a dedicated team of the institution. Government Engineering College, Haveri which comes under the administration of Director of Technical Education Bangalore is affiliated to VTU Belgaum and is recognised by AICTE New Delhi. The college is offering four under graduate courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering with intake of 60 in each course. In 2011, the college has started post graduate course in Structural Engineering with an intake of 18 as VTU extension center. Department of Civil Engineering is also recognised as research center
