English and Foreign Languages University

The EFL University is a Central University which was established under an Act of Parliament in the year 2006. It has three campuses, Hyderabad, Shillong and Lucknow. The Hyderabad Campus which is the main and the oldest campus, boasts of eleven different Schools, such as, School of English Language Education, Language Sciences, English Literary Studies, Distance Education, Communication Studies, Inter-Disciplinary Studies, Middle-East and African Studies, Asian Studies, Germanic Studies, Romance Studies, Russian Studies. The Shillong Campus was established to strengthen the teaching of English and Foreign Languages in the North Eastern region. It offers various courses in English, French and German, a Post-Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English, Diploma in Miscommunication, Bachelors and Masters Degrees and research programmes in English.
