The XAT 2024 exam will be held on January 7, 2024. Interested students can register and fill out the XAT application form 2024 online. The examination body will conduct an official mock test for aspirants on October 28, 2023. Candidates had to register for it by October 25, 2023.
XAT exam 2024 will be conducted in a single shift at various examination centers across India. There is no change in the XAT pattern or syllabus. The difficulty level of the exam is expected to be high. The XAT 2024 registration's last date is November 30, 2023.
What is the XAT Exam?
Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT is a national-level management entrance examination held by XLRI, Jamshedpur, for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. Besides XLRI and 10 other XAMI member colleges, over 1,000 B-schools accept XAT marks for admission to their post-graduate management programs. The XAT paper consists of 100 Multiple-choice Questions (MCQs) on Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Knowledge, and Data Interpretation. XAT cut-offs for XLRI's PGDM-BM program are usually about 95 percentile for male candidates and 92 percentile for female candidates.

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
It is mandatory to fulfill the XAT eligibility criteria to be able to appear for the test. Given below are the latest XAT eligibility criteria and academic requirements:
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree of a minimum duration of three years or equivalent in any discipline from an acknowledged university.
- Candidates in their last year of bachelor's degree or awaiting their results can also appear for XAT.
- There is no minimum marks requirement in the graduation criteria for the XAT exam.Candidates should have passing marks in their bachelor's degree program.
- Working professionals and aspirants with professional degrees (CA/CS) can also appear in the exam.
XAT Registration Process 2024
The XAT registration process is the first step towards XLRI admission. Aspirants must complete the online XAT application form and pay the requisite fees to register for the entrance test. The XAT application form is the registration form for the college as well. Candidates must check the field indicating XLRI in the XAT form to be eligible for admission to the institute. Given below is the XAT 2024 registration and application process:
- Log on to the XAT 2024 website online.in
- 'New Registration' and fill out the necessary information.
- The candidate receives a unique XAT ID and registration link on the verified email address.
- Click on the link to verify your registration
- Go to the XAT 2024 homepage and click on 'login.'
- Enter your email ID and password to open the application form
- Fill out all the mandatory fields of the XAT 2024 application form
- Cross-check the information before clicking on the submit button
- Pay the XAT 2024 application fee of INR 2100 through a credit/debit card, UPI, or net banking
Candidates are allowed to select up to four cities in the XAT application form 2024. The examination body allows the exam center to candidates in the city selected on a priority basis availability. If a seat is not available at the test center in the first city of preference, the center will be allotted in the next city that has been selected.
XAT Syllabus 2024
XAT syllabus 2024 consists of all the important topics of Verbal and logical Ability, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability, and General Knowledge. Decision Making is a unique part for which there is no syllabus, so you can refer to previous years' question papers and sample test papers for preparation. Check below some key points about the XAT 2024 syllabus:
- XAT Decision Making section will present scenarios from personal and professional lives. Candidates must apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization to make informed decisions.
- XAT Verbal and logical Ability includes Critical and Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, English Grammar, Vocabulary, Parajumbles, Cloze Test, etc.
- In the XAT Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation section, the topics include Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Modern Math, etc.
- In the GK section of the XAT exam, the topics pertain to business, art, entertainment, politics, culture, society, personalities, science, technology, sports, inventions, innovation, world, economy, books, etc.
- Analytical Essay Writing (AEW) will have 3 topics, and candidates will have to write an essay of 250 words on one of them.

XAT Exam Day Guidelines
Given below are some points XAT exam day guidelines candidates must follow:
- Reach the exam center an hour before the reporting time mentioned in the admit card.
- Dont carry any electronic items like mobile phones, watches, calculators, etc., to the exam center
- Do not carry any stationary (apart from a blue/ballpoint pen) items or eatables to the exam center
