Sanjay Ghodawat University was established as a State Private University in 2017. Previously, Sanjay Ghodawat Institutes was formed in 2009 by the Chairman of SG Group, Sanjay Ghodawat. The Institute had received NAAC A grade, and also its programs were accredited by NBA, and after this, the natural progression was the evolution of Sanjay Ghodawat University.

The University was formed to accommodate more students and give them various choices for their career path. The University offers UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs in Technology, Management, Commerce, Science, Liberal Arts, Architecture, Pharmacy, and Computer Applications.

The USP of the University is its curriculum in tandem with the industry requirements plus a choice-based credit system that allows students to choose a major and minor in the subjects of their choice. It encourages a multidisciplinary approach that helps students’ creativity and productivity. The University also offers hands-on experience with the establishment of Tata Technology Centre, Mechatronics Lab Car, BOSCH Collaboration Centre, Centre of Space and Atmospheric Science, etc.

The University campus is a state of art facility provided to students to help them study in a pristine environment. The 165 acres campus is replete with spacious classrooms, smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, a food court, an amphitheater, a stadium with floodlights, a swimming pool, horse riding, a tennis court, etc.

The School of Commerce and Management, SGU, was recognized as a Top Emerging B School by Times B School Survey 2020. School of Technology, SGU Ranked 4th in Top Emerging Engineering Institutes of the Nation, 9th in Placement Category, and 2nd in Research Capabilities by Times Ranking 2020.

Sanjay Ghodawat University Admission Process

The university offers courses like BTech, BBA, MBA, BCom, BCA, MTech, and MCA, among others, at UG, PG, and Ph.D. levels. The programs are offered in streams like Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, and many more. SGU admission process is both entrance and merit-based. Sanjay Ghodawat University conducts the Sanjay Ghodawat University Entrance Exam (SGUEE) entrance exam for admission to BTech. UG Courses

• Admission to BTech is based on a valid JEE score or score obtained in a national-level entrance test conducted by Sanjay Ghodawat University, Kolhapur (SGUEE)

• Admission to other UG courses like BSc, BCom, and BBA will be based on Class 12 or SGUEE scores.

• BArch admission will take place based on qualifying marks in NATA or a non-zero positive score in JEE Main Paper 2

PG Courses

• Admission to the MBA program is based on valid CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, ATMA, CMAT scores or based on SGUEE scores, a separate test conducted by Sanjay Ghodawat University.
• MTech admission will take place based on a valid GATE score.

Ph.D. Courses

• Admission to all the Ph.D. level programs will be based on Sanjay Ghodawat University Ph.D. Entrance Test (SGU PET) score conducted by the university.
