In a significant development, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has abolished the qualifying percentile for PG Courses (Medical ) in NEET PG counselling 2023, making it 'Zero' for all categories. Consequently, the medical counselling committee (MCC) has unveiled a revised schedule for NEET PG Counselling 2023, encompassing Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates who have become freshly eligible can register and participate in Round 3 of counselling. The candidates who are already registered need not register again. However, they will be allowed to edit their choices.
The NEET PG 2023, which serves as the gateway for medical candidates to pursue their postgraduate studies, is transforming with these changes. With Round 3 registration set to commence today, i.e., Friday, September 22, 2023, candidates now have a new opportunity to secure their place in prestigious medical colleges nationwide.
NEET PG Counselling 2023 Round 3
- Fresh Registration and Fee Payment: Candidates can pay the necessary fees from September 22 to September 25, 2023.
- Filling Of Choice: The Window for selecting preferred courses and colleges will be open from September 22 to September 25, 2023, untill 11:59 p.m.
- Processing of Seat Allotment: The seat allotment process will occur from September 26 to September 27, 2023.
- Announcement of Result: On September 28, 2023, the eagerly awaited Round 3 seat assignment results will be made public.
- Reporting to the Institute Alloted: Those who secure seats in Round 3 must report to their allloted colleges between September 29, 2023, and October 6, 2023, up to 5 pm.
Stray Vacancy Round:
For those who may have missed the earlier rounds or wish to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round, here is the timetable:
- Fresh Registration and Payment: Candidates can register and complete the payment process from October 9 to October 11, 2023.
- Filling of Choice: The choice-filling period will be from October 9 to October 11, 2023, until 11:59 p.m.
- Processing of Seat Allotment: The seat allotment for the Stray Vacancy Round will commence between October 12 and October 2023.
- Announcement of Result: On October 14, 2023, the results for the Stray Vacancy Round will be declared.
- Reporting to the Allotted Institute: Candidates who secure seats in the Stray Vacancy Round must report to their designated institutes between October 15, 2023, and October 20, 2023.
