National Board of Examinations (NBE) in Medical Sciences Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a PG-level program for doctors in India that they do after completing their MBBS. This postgraduate course is two years and deals with diagnosing and treating disorders of the female reproductive system and the care of women during pregnancy and childbirth. The course is a full-time program pursued at various acknowledged medical colleges nationwide. Some medical colleges offering this course included Guru Gobind Singh Govt: Hospital, Delhi, GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Gujarat, Government Multi Specialty Hospital, Chandigarh, and more.

The National Board of Examinations follows the NEET PG Entrance exam admission to this course through counseling based on the exam marks that DGHS/MCC/State Authorities conduct. The fee for pursuing the NBEMS Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is Rs.1,25,000 annually.

After completing their respective course, doctors can join the job market or pursue higher degree programs like master's degrees and research degree courses acknowledged by NBEMS, where NBEMS Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a feeder credential. Eligibility Criteria

• Students in possession of an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate acknowledged as per the provisions of the NBEMS Act, 2019 and the revoked Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and having permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS credentials given by the NBEMS/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council and have completed one year of Training.
• The candidate must have acquired permanent registration with any State Medical Council to be qualified for admission.
• The medical institute's recognition cut-off dates for the MBBS Degree programs and compulsory rotatory Internship shall be as prescribed by the (MCI) Medical Council of India (now NBEMS).

Admission Process

• The Post MBBS students get admission to 2 years Diploma program after successfully qualifying for the NEET-PG examination, which NBEMS conducts. NEET-PG is conducted annually as per the specified program.
• The merit-based counseling for admissions to 2 years Post MBBS Diploma Programmes after the NEET-PG is administered by the Medical Counseling Committee of DGHS, Govt of India MoHFW, along with the counseling for admissions to different MD/MS/PG Diploma programs.
• Registration as NBEMS Diploma Student: After choosing an NBEMS Diploma seat for the 2-year diploma programs, the student registers with NBEMS for Diploma training in respective courses.
