MD Anaesthesia can be pursued after completing a bachelor's degree in the relevant stream from an MCI-recognized Institute. MD Anaesthesia Admissions are most colleges based on the scores of NEET PG, etc., followed by a GD/PI round. However, many colleges intake students based on their previous higher education scores.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates pursuing MD (Anaesthesia) courses must have completed their MBBS or equivalent from an MCI (Medical Council of India) recognized University.
- Students must have completed their graduation with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in an MBBS degree or any equivalent degree.
- Some top and reputed colleges offering MD (Anaesthesia) courses consider scores of NEET-PG or JIPMER Entrance exam for admissions.
- Candidates may also require 12 months or more work experience in the same field to get admission into top colleges.

Admission Process
MD (Anaesthesia) admissions are conducted merit-based or entrance based. Admission to MD Anaesthesia is mainly done through entrance exam scores.
