What is the CUET Exam?

The Common University Entrance Test, or CUET, is an all-India exam administered by the Ministry of Education for students seeking admission to UG, PG, and PhD programs. Numerous central, state and private universities accept students based on CUET 2023 Results. Thus, candidates only need to qualify for this one exam to participate in the admissions process at multiple universities. The National Testing Agency conducts the exam. 250+ universities can use CUET 2023 Scorecard to prepare the merit list and for individual counselling.

CUET 2023 Result out on July 15, 2023, at cuet.samarth.ac.in. CUET 2023 scorecard mentions the subject-wise NTA score and percentile of the candidate. For papers conducted in multiple shifts, the NTA score is obtained after normalizing the actual marks obtained by the candidates.

CUET 2023 Cut off will be released as a rank list by each participating college. NTA does not release any qualifying cut-off for CUET 2023. Based on previous year cut-off trends, you can expect DU CUET Cut-off 2023 to be above the 98 percentile for top colleges and courses. CUET Cut off for B.Tech is expected to be above the 90 percentile for top universities, including Central University of Jharkhand, Kerala, and Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria

Apart from CUET 2023 Eligibility Criteria, candidates must also fulfill the eligibility requirements laid down by the universities for admission to desired courses/ degree programs.

  • Age Limit: No age limit exists for CUET 2023. Candidates must, however, fulfill the criteria for their respective universities. 
  • Qualifying Examinations: Passed Class 12th/ equivalent from a recognized board OR are appearing students
  • Year of Passing of Qualifying Exam: There is no set year of passing for CUET 2023; Candidates must fulfill the criteria by respective universities.

CUET 2023 Eligibility - Course Wise

Course Wise Eligibility

CUET 2023 Eligibility criteria are different for different universities. So, candidates can check the university-wise eligibility criteria. Students must check their eligibility before filling out the CUET 2023 Application Form. The candidate must fulfill all eligibility criteria given below.

CUET Eligibility for Undergraduate Courses

  1. Students have at least 50% marks in class intermediate for the General category and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
  2. Subjects required are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, depending on the course you are looking for.

CUET Eligibility for Post-Graduate Course

  1. Minimum marks are 55% for the General category and 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category students. Some places have a different cut-off for the OBC candidate students. So please refer to the course details.
  2. In general, a candidate must clear the Bachelor's in the same field Or any associated field of the course you wish to take a Master's. The field details are given for each course in the prospectus.

CUET Eligibility for Ph.D. Program

  1. If you have cleared UGC-CSIR JRF, GATE, NBHM or qualified in any other National level Exams, you are exempted from appearing in the entrance test but must register for CUET 2023.
  2. You need to have a master's degree in any stream with a minimum of 55% scores for general candidates, 50% marks for OBC candidates, and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
  3. Rest the minimum eligibility changes as per the course. As the main subjects required for each course are different depending upon the course, you choose to enrol in.

CUET 2023 Application Form

CUET 2023 registration was open from February 9 to March 30 and April 9 to 11, 2023. Candidates could fill CUET 2023 registration form online on the official website- cuet. Samarth.ac.in. 

CUET 2023 Registration Fee 

CUET 2023 registration fee has increased. Unlike previous years, PwD candidates also had to pay CUET 2023 registration fee. The category-wise CUET 2023 registration fee has been listed in the table below. CUET 2023 application fee is charged based on the candidate's number of subjects.

CUET 2023 Counseling

  • Every participating university holds its counselling round.
  • Candidates who pass the CUET UG 2023 exam and are named on the merit list are eligible to apply for admission to the university of their choice.
  • A university may hold multiple counselling rounds depending on the availability of seats.
  • Counselling will start only after NTA officially declares the exam results.
