Admission Procedure and Eligibility

Selection Criteria 
Nepali Citizens - Entrance Examination and Counseling by Medical Examination Commission,Kathmandu Nepal.
Nomination from Nepal Government (20% Seats)- As per Ministry of Education (MOE) directives, any successful candidates seeking MOE Scholarship admission in the colleges/institutions under Kathmandu University must sit for the KU entrance test. MOE will choose candidates following their criteria for selection after achieving in the KU Admission Test.
Foreign Citizens(50 percent seats) Entrance Exam and Counseling, or candidates who pass an approved Entrance Test in the year of concern for the MBBS/BDS program of their respective nation internationally recognized test are qualified for admission. Passport's passport page that shows the name as well as a nation of citizenship (Voter Identification or Aadhar could be uploaded provisionally to the Indian nationals)

Eligibility Criteria 
The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent qualifications and at least 50% marks in each of the subjects in the areas of Physics, Chemistry, Biology(PCB). This generally means 50 percent is equivalent to the 'C' grades required in Sri Lankan A-Level and 'D grades for International A-Levels such as EDEXCEL/London) and 50percent in aggregate.

OR

Achieved the Bachelor of Science Degree recognized by the University, containing at least one of these subjects. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and at least one additional required science subject at the ancillary levels and having at least an overall score of 50 as long as the applicant has passed the qualifying examination earlier (10+2 or equivalent exam) that covers the subjects comprising Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

OR

Have completed the required course equivalent in I. Sc. (Biological Section) comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as primary subjects. Following The Certificate Level in health sciences at Dhulikhel Medical Institute, Kathmandu University and achieving at least 50% marks aggregate and not lower than 50 percent marks in each of the subjects that comprise Physics, Chemistry and, Biology (PCB).

Entrance Exams:

The College of Medical Sciences accepted entrance exams are NEET and KUCAT-CBT. Nepalese Candidates must complete the entrance exam for medical at Kathmandu University, Nepal. India Students, MBBS, DM, MS, MD, BSc. MCh, BMLT, BSc. MSc. admission, no need to write any entrance exam in Nepal. NEET is mandatory to get admission to medical colleges of Nepal under Kathmandu and Tribhuvan Universities. Foreign Students, If they complete any respective international, national entrance exam, that respective entrance exam's score is also calculated for admission time.
