Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Education from Science stream or an equivalent examination that tests English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the principal subjects. They must have a minimum of 50% marks for each subject from an approved board.

Candidates (both international and national) must pass the entrance exam administered by the Institute of Medicine to be eligible for the following year's applicants looking to be admitted into Medicine.

International students must have a certification of eligibility from the relevant authority in their country and at the IOM and the Ministry of Education Nepal.

International applicants have brought their academic documents as well as documents proving nationality. If an applicant is from India, they must attach the proof of eligibility issued by the Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission New Delhi before admission.

Selection procedure

Candidates must appear for the Entrance Exam conducted by the authorized organization, Institute of Medicine (generally held on the first day of Bhadra according to the Nepalese calendar) and obtain good marks. After the exam, IOM released a merit list based on the marks scored during the exam.
